Das Racist

Interviewing Das Racist is not as easy as it sounds.  They kind of say whatever they want, demonstrate a short attention span, and employ what is referred to as the shock factor.  The trio from NYC are on the verge of releasing Sit Down, Man, their new mixtape being presented by Mad Decent.  Our plan was to talk to them about their new mixtape, working with Diplo, their social political commentary, and other things Das Racist related.  Things don’t always go as plan, and we got a little more than we bargained for when we interviewed them outside SoundScape Studio, just after they completed recording with Chicago’s BBU.

Check out the interview as they explain where they got their name, abruptly change their name, declare their godliness, and share pointed commentary on the racial undertones McDonald’s radio spots.
