Visual: "What's Up Joe" ft. Ale Nova Remix

This track is the first single off of Visual's upcoming album, Working Class Legend: OVERTIME. The project will consist of four original songs and eight remixes. This guy is new to me but I'm digging this track which was remixed by Wes Restless. Cop it below.
CHI-Vanguard Photo Shoot: Tereza
So a few months back we held a Digital Freshness called CHI-Vanguards where we collaborated with some of Chicago's fashion brands & boutiques (Code Of Conduct, Kustom Karats, Black Market Caviar & Anna Hovet) and we threw a party. Alongside the party we did a photo shoot to display the clothes and was also a big reason why we were all late that night, lol... But that's a different story. We released the BTS video a few weeks ago and this week we will be releasing the shoot with a little twist. Instead of putting out the whole shoot we will put out one model at a time and give you a little info about her so you guys can get to the know the brands and models better.
Code Of Conduct is located in Chicago's South Loop neighborhood and if anyone knows that area, it has lots of dope alleys. The moment I saw the alley next to COC, I wanted to do a shoot there. After talking with Michaela & Ari about the shoot we all put together some ideas for what we wanted to do. Ari & Michaela already had the direction for the way they wanted the girls to look, a very simple but urban style to really display the pieces they were wearing. I've always been fascinated with the different colors you can get when shooting down these alleys because you have different lights from warm colors to cool colors, and it lets you have options with the feel of the pic. I also brought one stationary light with me with a day light bulb to add any extra light if needed, and also to use as a prop in the background of shots. Ari & Michaela had a great idea to have one of their tattoo artists, Jeff, paint on the model's creating pseudo tats.
Tereza was the 3rd model I shot that day, and I remember by the time I shot her it was very humid outside and very hot. Right off the bat I wanted to use the texture of the fence there to add a new look to the pics. There was the awesome green light coming from a light a few yards back that lit a different way. We were also underneath another street light that had a cooler feel to it. In post editing I added more to the blues and greens to give it more of a rich color. Top image is probably one of my favorites from the whole shoot. For the second look we used a brick wall and an exit door to a nearby business. With my flash I was able to get a real bright light and make it seem like we were catching her in the middle of something (these are definitely my Terry Richardson inspired shots). Because it was so humid Tereza was sweating and it gave the shots a dope raw look to them that I kept even after post. Check out the second installment of the CHI Vanguard photo shoot: Tereza after the jump.

Cee-Lo: "Bright Lights, Bigger City" Trailer

Cee-Lo releases a visual trailer for the recently leaked "Bright Lights, Bigger City". This song is the business. Grab it below.
Souls of Mischief: "Won One" video

Best Hip Hop song to use the phrase "home skillet" of 2010, no question about it! This comes off Souls of Mischief's 2010 release, Montezuma's Revenge, which they recorded locked away in a cabin with Prince Paul. See the video below, and read up on the album here in the RH interview.
1982: "People Are Running" video

This song and video are both very very dope. 4Word on the animation. Hats are off. Look for the RubyHornet interview with Term and Statik coming soon.
Willy Joy: "Double D Double C Mix" (Mix)

Our boy Willy is hitting D.C. this Halloween and playing UHall with Savage Skulls & James Nasty. Here he teamed up with TGRI for a Redonkulous mix, ready for all the festivities this weekend. Hit the jump for the mix
"2010 has been a banner year for DC's U Street Music Hall. One of the top spinners at the venue this year has been Chicago's DJ Willy Joy. On the three separate occasions this year that he has played in DC, his sets have been met with great excitement and increasing anticipation. On October 30th, Willy plays U Hall for UHALLWEEN alongside Balimore's James Nasty and Savage Skulls. I'll let Willy handle the rest from here: I called it Double D Double C, as almost every mix is a double drop, and the name reflects that and a silly play on "D.C." for fun." - TGRIonline.com

Grap Luva: "7 Minutes of Sound" (Video)

While out here on the east coast in the fall, i've come to realize there is almost nothing better to suit the season, than classic 95' Pete Rock/ Beatminerz/Lord Finesse/Umah etc... production. Recently, Grap Luva formally of INI, stopped through Damu The Fudgemonk's studio to play some SP-1200 beats. In the video Grap also reveals the making of Pete Rock’s “Half Man, Half Amazing.” Hit the jump for the clip.
