Pugs Atomz: "Now Baby"

Pugs Atomz is commemorating a decade of music with the release of The Decade. It is a compilation of Pugs' music from 2000-2010, and includes "Now Baby". For the song's animated video, Pugs looked to painter Emmett McBain as well as animators Jerry Das and Ben Dawson. Pugs edited the clip, and also handled cinematography and background images to tell the story of a night out. The song also features Simeon Vitz of the Primeridian on trumpet, as well as verses from Psalm One and ADaD. To hear those verses, and the rest of The Decade cop the album on Amazon.
Illecism: "Coinstar"

This track is off of Illecism's upcoming project, Molotov, that is set to drop on November 13th. The track's got some sounds in it similar to some old school video games, namely that one with the portly, italian plumber. Check it out below.
J. Cole: "Purple Rain" (prod. by J. Cole)

A new J. Cole mixtape drops on Friday entitled Friday Night Lights. If it mirrors the television ratings for the show of the same night, J's gonna have one helluva shabbat dinner. I can tell you that much. Metaphorically speaking though... Prior to the tapes release, J lets go of "Purple Rain", which he also produced. You can grab it below via Herfection.

Joell Ortiz: The Freedom Trail Epsiode 4

Statik Selektah made the comment in our interview that this year alone has been better than the last 10 for Hip Hop, and I think Joell Ortiz, both his music and his brand contribute a lot to proves Statik's point. In this episode of The Freedom Trail, Joell talks about his need of a bigger stage, not someone to hold his hand. He also gives us some rehearsal footage for his show tomorrow night at SOB's. I'm rooting for Joell, I think I'm going to go and listen to The Brick now.
