Rainn Wilson's Soul Pancake Available Now
I showed up a little late to The Office, not really watching the show seriously until 2009. The lateness pays off though, because it makes almost every re-run new to me. One of my favorite characters on the show is Dwight Schrute, who is played brilliantly by Rainn Wilson (star of the heavily slept on film, The Rocker)... If you follow Rainn Wilson's Twitter page you are often given interesting observations, statements, and philosophies on life, spirituality, love and so on and so forth. The tweets are an extension of Wilson's Soul Pancake Blog, "a place to speak your mind, unload your questions, and figure out what it means to be human." The site is quite a trip, and it has also now manifested into paperback with the release of Soul Pancake, the book. The book contains commentary from the likes of Wilson, Saul Williams, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Dr. Drew and others. It also includes questions, exercises, and visual art that is meant to spark creativity and encourage exploration.
