A quick back-story on the legendary Bobby Gore, in the 60′s he became the leader of the Conservative Vice Lords and a central figure in their transformation from a gang into a pro-social organization. The CVL were even awarded a Rockefeller Foundation grant for around one-quarter million dollars and marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. during Gore’s tenure. Jig Dolla decided to pay homage to this revolutionary man and recorded the song “Black&Gold” which you can listen to below. Off the forthcoming The Ave mixtape.
