L.A.'s U-N-I introduced themselves to Hip Hop at large via their debut street LP, Fried Chicken And Watermelon. The aim of that album was to break stereotypes usually associated with West Coast Hip Hop and culture, and showcase their universal style. Through innovative videos, and feel good joints following in the tradition of Pharcyde and A Tribe Called Quest, U-N-I caught a wave, and have been riding it ever since. The duo of Thurz and YO are ready to put Chicken And Watermelon to bed, as they look forward to the release of their new project, A Love Supreme. Thurz just hit us off with the intro track, "Supreme Song," which is a banger that sets everything up well. On their first album they made a marriage proposal to music, and A Love Supreme is a continuation of that dating process. Thurz told us, "This is showing our commitment with hopes of making that marriage happen. It's a supreme love, or an ultimate love like a mother has for her child. That's what music is to us, that undying passion, and we're just showcasing what we do." You can look for the full interview appearing soon...For now, dig on "Supreme Song..."
