Casio G-Shock "Men in Rescue Organge" Pack features some very cool G-Shocks in some of their newer models. The watches take their color scheme form the uniforms of the three different rescue teams, the Mudman, Gulfman, and Riseman. The predomient color is rescue orange, but the Mudman has a black face with an orange strap. On top of the cool color scheme, these models are able to run on solar power and synchronize via radio frequency. That sounds crazy, def on my wish list...Check out more pics below... |

It’s been an exciting two weeks in politics, full of many unexpected developments. A surprisingly unified Democratic convention concluded with a more specific and tough Obama speech that differed from what we’ve seen, but it may have been Obama’s best moment yet. John McCain looked cross eyed in selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate, but Palin came out and electrified the republican base with her convention speech, turning what looked like a possible disaster into a good looking move. We will know how everything plays out in two months, but I’m sure more surprises are on the way. One thing that has been consistent during the campaigns, however, is America’s obsession with identity politics. Race and gender have been all the rage. More often than not the dialogue has been destructive, but that hasn’t stopped the American media from feasting on every moment. Just notice the never-ending loop of stories trying to get people wound up. If you supported Hilary Clinton, you were probably another white feminist eager to jump over black men in the affirmative action race, ready to keep them in their place. If you supported Barack Obama, you were probably a man (white or black), or a self-hating woman, that couldn’t bear the thought of a woman in power. And if you were a black woman, oh good lord, you had to choose between being authentically female and being authentically black. It’s been gnawing at me for a while but I finally sat down and asked myself, ‘what is this all about?’ The answers have been surprising, but they all lead to one conclusion. We need to stop the madness. White woman, black man, black woman, white man: we need to stop the madness. |
