School is back in session, football season is upon us, and the days will soon be getting a little cooler and shorter. Another summer season is in the books, and what a summer it has been. We’ve haven’t had attention like this on Chicago’s music scene in quite sometime, and both established veterans as well as up and comers shined in the summer of 2012. We take a look back with this list of our favorite songs released between Memorial and Labor Day (ish)… Check out our list of the top 40, and throw up any in the comments that we missed. There was so much dope material, we couldn’t hit it all.
